How to Fight Anti-Semitism

By; Bari Weiss To begin I want to state my very strong support for the State of Israel and those of the Jewish faith. I am continually depressed by the opinions of so many of my friends and family that Israel is evil, that their persecution of the Palestinians is unforgivable and who support the BDS Movement which demands institutions such as colleges and business to refuse to do business with any company located in Israel. This is so anti-Semitic that it makes my head hurt. Open your eyes to the abominable actions of many other countries and tell me why Israel is so evil it must be singled out for punishment. The writer is a young Jewish female reporter for the New York Times. I am trying not to hold that against her. This is a small book of 200 pages. In it she recalls the history of abuse of Jews since the beginning. If you ae not aware you will be after reading. She does attack President Trump as she must to maintain her position but she also condemns the Leftists in our country. On the University campuses today Anti-Semitism is rampant. Jewish students are singled for ridicule or are assaulted. There can be no misunderstanding of the hatred from the Islamic people around the world who openly condemn and yearn for the elimination of Jews from Israel. Europe has allowed millions to immigrate. Many of them of course enjoy the standard of living in these countries but many others are determined to turn them into Islamic countries. In her final chapter she instructs Jews on how to fight back. What it amounts to is to do more than ignore and hope for the best, far better to get involved and defend. I found this book at the Public Library. I hope at least some of you will take the time to read and share with others. Jack B. Walters February 4, 2020
